Internet banking and the TresorTAN app, explained
Anadi separates everyday banking from approval. You bank in one app or the browser, and you approve logins and payments in a second app, TresorTAN. Understanding why helps you use it safely.
At a glance
- Internet banking runs in the browser and in the Anadi mobile banking app.
- TresorTAN is a separate app that confirms logins and orders.
- Each approval shows a number you check before confirming.
- Banoblog never offers a login. Always type the official address yourself.
Two apps, two jobs
European payment rules (PSD2) require strong customer authentication: proof of at least two of something you know, something you have and something you are. Anadi meets this by pairing your login details with the TresorTAN app on your registered phone. When you log in or sign a payment, a number appears in internet banking and a matching request appears in TresorTAN. You confirm only if the numbers and the details match what you are doing.
Why the check matters
Most online banking fraud today does not break encryption. It persuades customers to approve something themselves. A fraudster may call pretending to be the bank and ask you to 'confirm a security update' in the app. In reality you would be approving their payment or their device. The rule is simple: approve only what you started yourself.
Changing your phone
When you get a new phone, the TresorTAN app has to be activated again on the new device. Follow the instructions in the official help section or contact the customer care centre through the number on the official website. Do this before you reset or sell the old phone.
Getting the apps safely
Install the mobile banking and TresorTAN apps only from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and check that the publisher is the bank. Never install banking apps from links sent by text message, email or messenger.
